I have been a lazy scrapper lately – work’s been chaotically busy, Diablo 3 was released (sorry… nerd alert!) and my creativity seems to have deserted me.
This weekend we’re lucky enough to have a long weekend to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and it’s come to Monday and I haven’t done a scrap of scrapping… I had such grand intentions, too.
So this morning I knuckled down and finished off my two projects from Trisha’s class, having lots of fun with my new Crackle Accents and Distress Stain and I finally started filling in my new Book Club journal.
Once a month I catch up with some girlfriends for an in-depth dissection of…. who am I kidding, we catch up, eat great food, drink copious amounts of wine and occasionally discuss the book that was chosen for us read over the past few weeks. It’s always a great night out and I just filled up my first journal with little blurbs about what I thought about each book, so I thought I’d best create another one so as not to forget all the wonderful books we’ve read.
Last time, I made a book from scratch but I was a bit lazier this time and just covered a blank spiral bound book I bought at Lincraft using some lovely Graphic 45 papers (my current favourite!).
Materials: Graphic 45 papers, foam tape, dimensional magic, black distress ink, red grosgrain ribbon, spiral bound book
