At the retreat over the weekend, some of the ladies were asking Mum and I where we find our inspiration.
I’m a mad blog reader, using Google Reader to keep track of my favourite blogs. Some of my favourites are –
- Each Moment Only Once
- Graphic 45 – has some great project ideas and detailed instructions
- Scrap Farm
- October Afternoon
Aside from that, I go to as many classes as I can – there’s always something new to see and learn, so I would really recommend going to check out what’s on at your nearest shop. I go to a lot of classes at Chandon Craft in Geelong, who run regular classes for all different skill levels – and even if there’s not a specific new technique, it’s always a good excuse to get the creative juices flowing.
And keep an eye out for any craft fairs or shows – Paperific in Melbourne is a great event with lots of Make And Takes and classes – I always come home with a bunch of new products and ideas off the back of these!
Retreats and crops are also a great treat and nearly every scrapbooking shop runs these types of events – some of the ones I go along to are run by Florewen Scrapbooking, DragonFly Scrapbooking and Make A Page.
scrapbook.com is a great site for inspiration, I really love that you can search by paper ranges. So if I ever have a piece of paper that I’m not sure what to do with, I just pop onto scrapbook.com, search for the paper and they provide plenty of pages that use that specific piece of paper to give you a kickstart.
