Given how long ago the end of financial year was, I really should have scrapped these photos by now… oh well, they’re done now!
Each year, my work throws an end of financial year party and this year was a bit special – a visit to the gorgeous Yarra Valley for some wine tasting and a delicious lunch. And to top it off, some of us were lucky enough to travel there in style – helicopters anyone?

It was a very cold morning, but we were lucky enough to have a clear day so we could see for miles over Melbourne during our 20 minute flight to the Yarra Valley. I could get used to being flown around by helicopter… sigh…
This was a bit of an experimental page, the first thing I decided I wanted to use was the lovely satin ribbon and I built everything around that. I made a bit of a fan underneath the ribbon with the tissue paper – it’s hard to see in the photo, but it’s a really cute effect.
Materials: KaiserCraft paper and flowers, German scrap, Collections Elements fabric.
The stunning Yering Station was our destination for lunch and as fantastic as th food was, it was a tiny bit overshadowed by the location! I love the avenue of trees that lead the way up to the station, where the elite of olden days Melbourne would travel by coach for their weekends away at the station.
