Unpacking the goodies

I just finished putting away the loot from my big shop-up at the Scrapbooking Expo on the weekend – always a lot of fun, finding all the goodies that you’d forgotten you bought!

I think I bought enough tape to last til the next big shop-up! 6mm, 10mm and foam tape… all the adhesive a girl could ever need! (Catchy Crafts)

Stamps, word strips and ephemera

I didn’t see a huge amount of Collections Elements, but I always love their cut out sheets so when I saw this new one (or one I didn’t have!) I snapped it up. I always love Darkroom Door’s photo and word strips and who could resist these KaiserCraft stamps? (Catchy Crafts and Craft Queen)

Paper pad, template, scissors

If you can believe it, I didn’t buy much paper at the expo – there really wasn’t a big range. There was hardly any paper for sale by the sheet and in the 12 x 12 pads it was mostly KaiserCraft. There were a lot of smaller pads, I guess for cardmakers – though as I learnt during the 6 x 6 pad challenge last year, they can be used very effectively for scrapbooking too, so I did grab this Teresa Collins travel pad.

Templates were quite big at a lot of stalls – I bought two I think, but this Prima one is my favourite.

The scissors – yes, those are scissors – weren’t actually from the expo, but I did buy them on the way home, so it kind of counts. Come on, Eiffel Tower scissors?! They couldn’t have been more perfect for me unless they were green and shaped like a cat!

(Craft Queen, Craft Spot and Typo)

Ribbons, buttons, charms and punch

Finally, these are some of the little goodies I found at Craft Queen in my many visits to their stand. They have the best range of ribbon roses – I restrained myself and only bought the green thread! The cat charms were a must buy and I love the cute little girl buttons. No idea what I’m going to do with them, but I had to have them!

I saw a border punched with the EK Success Fleur-De-Lis punch on the Friday and made it my mission on Saturday to find one – given how many border punches are out there, I was extraordinarily lucky to find this exact one, but I guess that’s my bit of magic for the year! Glad I didn’t waste it!

  1. I don’t think I bought enough foam tape though since we will be wanting to do more projects from Lynette Caroll ‘s inspirational projects
