Well it wouldn’t be my blog if I went more than a few posts without some layouts of my beautiful cats… crazy cat lady much? I just love my little ones, they bring so much laughter, joy and love into our lives, I don’t know what we’d do without them. My family always had cats growing up and within a few weeks of moving in together Aaron and I had welcomed our first cat into our rented, broken down old house.
Materials: Basic Grey RSVP paper and embellishments, washi tape, Stampin’ Up scallop border punch
I love this photo of Barnaby – it’s not often he looks so serious, he’s such a comical little cat. A nice, simple layout that hopefully focuses just on the photo.
Materials: Bazzill, Basic Grey stickers, Graphic 45 Typography paper, KaiserCraft flowers, and tag, random buttons and gold doily (which came from a Teresa Collins kit but may or may not be Teresa Collins brand).
Another photo that I love – Miss Indiana was cleaning her paws and I managed to snap this, which just captures her attitude perfectly. This was a layout where I just wanted to use up some scraps that were too good to throw out. My favourite part of it is the little golden swirls under the flowers – I used the packaging from some old Prima flowers as a stencil! Never throw anything out!
Materials: KaiserCraft Take Note paper, bling and stickers, Prima Marketing flowers and chipboard sticker, Martha Stewart border punch, Tim Holtz bling, random lace
I’d hit a bit of a blank spot at the retreat when I got to this layout, so I did some Pinterest scanning and came across this layout that I’d pinned ages ago – http://graphic45.ning.com/photo/g45-6 – and thought I’d try my own take on it. I keep returning to the Take Note collection from KaiserCraft, I think I’ve almost run out nearly, but I really enjoy working with it. I am really happy with the final result, showcasing this gorgeous photo of my Indiana!
