Warming up with some cat layouts…

I was reunited with my scrapping stuff last weekend for my first retreat for the year and I made the most of it, I did over 10 layouts over the weekend, plus a really cute mini album using Graphic45 Raining Cats and Dogs paper. I was a bit worried since I hadn’t scrapped for a few months I’d have forgotten what to do, but give me a paper trimmer and some tape and it all comes flooding back!

To Think Of You Is To Smile

To Think Of You Is To Smile

Materials: KaiserCraft Shine Bright paper and collectables

This phrase is so Barnaby, it’s really impossible to see him or think of him without smiling, he’s such a cute, silly cat. As soon as I saw this paper, I knew I had to do a layout of Barnaby with it, the colours suit him so well! To really make the papers pop, I “stitched” around the borders with a black pen and scuffed up the outer edges of the background with a broken old Tim Holtz marker.

Not Quite A Princess

Materials: Prima Marketing Fairy Belle papers, cards and hessian flowers, unknown glitter leaves, KaiserCraft flower and pearl swirls, unknown ribbon

We call Indiana our “princess” – she’s far from a lady, but she certainly has a very regal attitude. This paper is completely not my usual style, but I really liked the dancer. I put the whole layout together without a photo and I really didn’t have anything else that even came close to being suitable – so Indiana being my little girl was really my only choice of photo! I love the little skirt I made for the dancer out of a piece of fabric I found in my mum’s stash, just by threading the fabric onto the stem of a KaiserCraft flower and gathering it at the top.
