Retreat catchup

A few weekends ago (where does the time go!?), I travelled up to Echuca for a retreat with the lovely ladies from Hillbilly Scrappin’. I figured I’d better start posting some of the layouts I did before the next retreat!

Materials: KaiserCraft Be-YOU-tiful paper and collectables, October Afternoon letter stickers, Websters Pages letter stickers.

I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I love using papers that don’t necessarily fit the theme – I’m sure this paper range wasn’t intended for travel layouts, but I think it works really well! I was mostly just using up leftovers, which is why it’s a bit patchwork-y. I really like the contrast between the deep blue in the photos and the pink in the papers.

Materials: Bazzill, Graphic45 Artisan Style papers, envelopes and chipboard elements

My primary goal with this layout was just to get as many photos as I could on a single layout to use up photos and fill a hole in my album. Tick! There wasn’t a lot of space left after that for paper, so I used the bright and striking Artisan Style papers to finish it all off. Have I mentioned before how much I love Graphic45?

Materials: KaiserCraft Tropical Punch papers and stickers, KaiserCraft bling swirls, Prima flowers, BasicGrey letter stickers

This layout came together really easily – with such a big photo, there’s not a lot of space to play. These papers are so bright and sunny, which goes along with photos of Thailand so well. It doesn’t show too well in the photo, but the wooden elements (I can’t remember who they are by, sorry!) have been inked in gold and Dimensional Magic-ed.
