Istanbul and Wil Anderson?!

Two topics that don’t normally go together, but there you go!

Istanbul

Istanbul

Materials: Bazzill, Graphic45 Artisan Style paper, stickers and envelopes

We didn’t have a lot of time to spend in Istanbul (this time – we’ll be back!), but we did see a lot and I collected a lot of little bits and pieces – there’s business cards, a postcard, a plane ticket, a card from our hotel and a protective charm from a scarf shop at the market, as well as lots of photos. There’s a lot going on there, so I didn’t want to do too much with the paper, just a simple border and a few dots of colour here and there to break it all up.

Blue Mosque

Blue Mosque

Materials: KaiserCraft 75 Cents paper, KaiserCraft bling strips, BasicGrey letter stickers, Kindy Glit

You can’t tell from the photo, but the main background is actually lifted up on foam tape, so it looks like it’s got the corrugated cardboard underneath it. I really love this layout, it’s nice and simple and showcases the gorgeous photos without taking away from them – it definitely needed a bit of bling though, to brighten up the kraft-y papers. Such a beautiful place!

Wiluminati

Wiluminati

Materials: KaiserCraft Shine Bright papers and collectables

As a break from all of the travel layouts (although it does technically involve travel!), I put together this layout of the trip Aaron and I took to Sydney earlier this year to see my favourite comedian (see, I do have interests outside travel and cats!), Wil Anderson, film his show “Wiluminati” at the Sydney Opera House. The photos aren’t great, but I collected a brochure from the Opera House and my ticket to include in the layout. Such fun papers and such a fun night!
